Aww, Etsy how do you always manage to cheer me up?

I'll admit it.  I don't like art that draws out dark emotions or makes me "think". Or sad for that matter. I don't see movies that I know are going to make depressed. I'm very un-emo in that way. I know, I know, I know, I just lost some cool points.

When I ran into Tali from Jerusalem this morning on Etsy, the first thing I thought was hopeful. And that's what I want from art. All of her characters seem to be looking forward to something. Like they just ran into an old friend or maybe walked outside expecting rain only to find it was sunny or came home to find that their mom just made cookies.

Just what the doctor ordered....

.... This evening, Joel and I were having a very somber discussion about euthanasia for Hockley. We were blue to say the very least. But I should have known that the night was going to get better when I called my mom and she scolded me for not being at her house for dinner. And when I told her I didn't know I was supposed to be over for dinner, she scolded me again and told me my brothers were already there and there was a lot of food. Even though I was frustrated with the guilt trip (my mom's super power), I bit, "Whatcha cook?"
