This is probably my favorite part of making jewelry. It goes a lil' something like this- Knock on the door, I drop whatever I'm working on and run to the door before my very impatient postman can leave me one of those evil orange slips that says I have to pick up my package at the post office...TOMORROW (I could barely wait the 2 or 3 days it takes to get to my house in the first place. Do they really think I can wait a whole other day?) I take my treasured package into my studio, rip it open as carefully as one could rip anything open. And there they are. I lay out each strand and just stare. And stare. And imagine all of the things that these beads will become.
Here is a sampling of what I recieved in the mail this afternoon.
